Personal Information
Jenan Abbas is a dedicated and highly skilled physiotherapist with a robust educational
background and extensive professional experience. She earned her Bachelor's degree in
Physiotherapy from Ahlia University in June 2013.
Jenan has demonstrated her expertise through various professional roles. She began
her career with a three-month training stint at a therapy centre for physical therapy in
2014. Since July 2016, she has been a full-time physiotherapist at Alsharaf Orthopedic
and Spine Specialist Centre. Additionally, she gained valuable experience working on a
temporary contract at the American Mission Hospital from February to October 2018.
Her commitment to continuous learning is evident in the numerous certifications she
has acquired over the years. These include workshops and courses on trigger point
positional release therapy, advanced orthopedic physical examination techniques,
urinary incontinence and pelvic floor rehabilitation, and dry needling education, among
others. Jenan has also completed training in Mulligan techniques, basic life support
(CPR and AED), women’s health and pelvic floor rehabilitation, and integrated manual
therapy for shoulder dysfunctions.
Jenan's achievements include conducting a research project as part of her graduation
requirements at Ahlia University. The project focused on the effect of different heel
heights on the low back curve and knee mechanism, showcasing her research
capabilities and dedication to advancing her field.
Active in the professional community, Jenan has been a member of the Bahrain Physical
Therapy Association (BPTA) since 2013, participating in numerous events and activities
related to physical therapy and medicine. She is passionate about learning new
therapeutic techniques, reading scientific articles, and engaging in self-development.
Jenan possesses a wide range of skills, including proficiency in Kinesio Taping, CPR, and
AED usage, along with effective communication and teamwork abilities. She is fluent in
both Arabic and English, enabling her to serve a diverse patient population effectively.
